I have an image but it appears to be quite dark/the brightness has deteriorated.

You can adjust the brightness of the image by using the remote to enter the Setting menu (see relevant manufacturer manual for details).

If the brightness hasn’t been adjusted, it could indicate that the lamp is reaching the end of its life and will need replacing. See Section 5 of the Operations and Maintenance manual.
